Perfect hidden gem hangout spot. SERVICE: We had a post-wedding event at The Willows. A few days before, we emailed with Tim. He was extremely responsive and welcoming. He reserved us a spot and ensured we were well taken care of. The entire team was quick and accommodating. BAR: There are two areas, which are both decent size. The primary area consists of a bar, pinball machines, booth tables, a community high-top table, and lowered seating around a pool table. The second area consists of more private seating. The bar is a mix between a sports bar, lounge, and dive bar. There are windows on two sides, which provide good lighting. There are multiple TVs, which are great for sporting events. The pool table, pinball machines, and board games are a nice touch, which allow for multiple forms of entertainment. The venue is pretty clean and well-spaced out for easy flow. DRINKS: We chose the venue, in part, because it offers beers, well drinks, and cocktails. All three are affordably priced and provide options for all. We were impressed by the cocktails and options. FOOD: The menu includes sandwiches, salads, fries, etc. We had brussels sprouts, fries, and burgers. Everything was surprisingly good for bar food! OVERALL: I love a bar that provides a good space for people to lounge, talk, and gather. The different seating, entertainment, drink, and food options are all perfect. The volume isn't too loud. So, we could all hear each other, which I like. We stayed for several hours and would have stayed longer if we didn't have a dinner to make. I highly recommend The Willows for nearly any type of hangout or day.

Fantastic service by Tom. Had to download yelp to give him this review since I enjoyed him as my bartender so much. Made my night so much better. Hard recommend to swing by this spot!

Staff here were friendly, and the food was tasty. We ordered a couple burgers and some cheese curds. There were so. many. curds. They were tasty (not super authentic...no squeakiness) and the burgers were big. I would have liked to give 3 1/2 stars if possible. It's a place I would be fine going back to but not one I would necessarily seek out. It had a bit of a dingy feeling- not dirty, just dark with a dive bar vibe.

I've been here around four times now, and I LOVE it. It's just super relaxed and they have $8 cocktail specials. My friends and I stop by here for drinks before heading to 1015 Folsom for a concert. The people are always so nice here as well, and the place has a pretty open divey feel.

All the women who work here are awesome and the men suck. I like when queer people are working here because even if they're busy doing their job they're not coming off like I'm bothering them asking a simple question about my order or getting a drink. I'm not sure why but it seems like every time I talk to a man working here he is always trying to give me a hard time for no reason. Today I ordered door dash and when I asked the dude working at the liquor bar about the order he was like "well I don't see it" in a very confrontational tone and I mentioned that I'm only asking because the app says it's ready and he told me pretty much "oh well" then my order came. I've seen him be welcoming to customers before so I know he can do it.

We come by the Willows pretty often for drinks but we've always been tempted by the food. Finally we made plans to go for a Friday lunch as I really wanted to try the vegetarian sloppy joe (it's only available after lunch and most of the time we're too early). We showed up around 3ish for a late lunch/early dinner and while the place was busy, it wasn't packed and it was pretty easy to order drinks and our food at the bar. It came out quickly... the Impossible sloppy joe for me and chicken tenders for my partner. He was expecting some sort of frozen chicken finger type thing but instead was incredibly surprised at the incredibly well-seasoned and large chunks of juicy delicious chicken and breading he got served. My sloppy joe was just dripping with awesome tomatoey impossible ground "beef" and I almost inhaled the whole thing. The fries were also cooked to perfection. We were super happy to come here for food and we'll happily make this one of our regular lunch locations.
